I found this trail in the Washington Rail-Trail book. It goes from Maple Valley to the Green River. It has no elevation gain and a good number of people, but it is long to make it a good workout. I don't think I'll do it again. Not that is wasn't nice, I just prefer solitude on my hikes.

Marine View Park
Yesterday, on the bike, my husband and I decided to ride along the water and see what we could find. Talk about hidden treasures . . . we found several parks that are really only used and known by the locals. This one was so beautiful that I had to hike it this morning before church. I was hoping the see the eagle that we were told perched on a branch overlooking the water or some owls. I even got there at 6:30 but, I guess they were still sleeping or off hunting.

To the beach is about 500ft elevation drop, no problem, but the climb back up took a rest break.

Twin Falls by North Bend Washington
Today was a perfect day for a hike, I started in Twin Falls trail head starting in the park and hiked to Iron Horse trail. Arrived at 8:15 with an empty parking lot and left at 11:15 with about 75 cars in the lot and up the road. Beautiful hike with lots of benches along the way to sit and enjoy the views. I could have kept going but it was getting a little crowded. You do a lot of elevation gain hiking but it levels off to give you a brakes along the way. The only bad points to this hike is the noise from the freeway is audible at a few points and there were too many people.

Hiking in the city, Dock street Tacoma
This may have been 2 miles round trip, wonderful stroll. We spent 3 hours because I just couldn't get myself to leave. How could I have lived here 20 years and never walked along this street.

I love the look of these old buildings. Hope they always are there.

One of my favorite pictures, so peaceful.
If there is water, he has to get in, but how can you blame him, it is so clear.

Same thing all around this is different languages.

I'm sure this will be a regular hike for us now, early Saturday morning and I maybe saw 12 people. There are benches to sit on and just get lost in the view.
